Unauthorized Transaction In Paypal

Yesterday night, I was checking my Paypal account statement and I’ve seen an unauthorized transaction there. Before we went to Burleson yesterday morning, hubby purchased gas worth $30 in the gasoline station near our house and he used my Paypal debit card. He gave me the receipt. It shocked me to see in my Paypal account that the same gas station where we purchased the gas charged another $40 which we didn’t purchased. It really made me upset last night with the unauthorized transaction that they charged in my Paypal debit card. I told hubby about it and he told me to contact Paypal. I tried to call Paypal last night but they were already closed. This afternoon, after we had our lunch, I called Paypal and I was able to speak to an agent. I told about the unauthorized transaction that appeared in my account statement. I asked the lady to return the $40 to my account. She requested me to stay on the line while she contact the debit card department. After a few minutes, she was back on the line and she said that the $40 was already credited back to my account. I checked my Paypal account and true indeed, it was returned to my account. I feel relieved after that. It’s easy to contact Paypal and report unauthorized transactions. It was my first time to encounter such problem since I’ve been using my Paypal debit card.
